Padelsmart
+++ Everyone’s hitting the padel! Serial entrepreneur Daniel Fellhauer (Febesol) is pushing into the trendy padel segment with Padelsmart. The startup from Monheim am Rhein is developing „a digitized, AI-based model for the construction and operation of padel facilities.“ Initially, the team is planning „20 locations with a total of over 100 courts.“ Fellhauer is already eyeing international expansion, targeting France, Austria, Poland, and the Czech Republic. Crucially, he emphasizes the completely digital operation of all facilities – „from booking and access to usage.“ „We’re not building sports facilities, we’re building a product. The integration of digital functions isn’t an add-on, but a fundamental requirement. Anyone who tries to operate this market analogously won’t be able to scale it,“ says the entrepreneur. The trendy sport of padel, which combines elements of tennis, squash, and badminton, is currently extremely popular. The Munich-based sports startup PadelCity is already successful in the market . In recent years, a total of around €15 million has been invested in the company, which, among other things, rents courts and rents and sells equipment. The Berlin-based padel startup Mitte recently raised €3.5 million. And the Vienna-based startup Smash is also fully committed to this trendy sport. More about SportsTech
